Among others LEDs are characterised by: - high luminous efficiency (high brightness at low energy consumption), - very long life (about 50 000h), - extremely low rate of failures among others due to high shock-, damage- and vibration resistance, - lack of ultraviolet and infrared radiation, - no use of environmentally harmful mercury.
