On Wednesday, March 30, 2016, the official presentation of the Verva ActiveJet Pro Cycling Team was held. The conference, hosted by Maciej Kurzajewski, was held in the Olympic Centre in Warsaw, and was attended by guests such as the Minister of Sport and Tourism – Witold Banka, President of the Polish Olympic Committee – Andrzej Krasnicki, and President of the Polish Cycling Federation – Waclaw Skarul. The culmination of the event was the presentation to Piotr Kosmala, the Sports Director of the team, of the so-called "wild cards" to three races in the World Tour series: Tour de Suisse, Tour de Pologne and Hamburg Cyclassics.

The Verva ActiveJet Pro Cycling Team for the season 2016 consisted of: Michal Podlaski, Lukasz Bodnar, Kamil Gradek, Pawel Bernas, Daniel Staniszewski, Stanislaw Aniolkowski, Norbert Banaszek, Pawel Charucki, Adam Stachowiak, Adrian Banaszek, Pawel Franczak, Pawel Cieslik, Jonas Koch (Germany), Jordi Simon (Spain), Jiri Polnicky (Czech Republic) and Karel Hnik (Czech Republic).

With the new sponsor, the group, as the second team in Poland, advanced to the Professional Continental Team. This promotion provides an opportunity for the cyclists to enter the most important races in the world, and for the Activejet brand – extensive promotion in the best viewing times in Poland as well as in and around Europe.

– Our experience as the sponsor of Legia Warsaw FC has confirmed that sports marketing is an extremely effective tool to promote and increase brand value. Therefore, we have decided to intensify efforts in this area. The success of the Poles in the most important cycling races popularised road cycling which recorded the highest increase in popularity (by 13 percent). Thus, cycling took the second place in the ranking of the most valuable sports in terms of sponsorship advertising. – said Piotr Bielinski, CEO of Action.

Keep your fingers crossed for our team!
