sold on auction at close to 5,000 zloty
4,802 Polish zloty (approx. € 1,200) was the price at which the set of Legia Warszawa shirt and football signed by the Warsaw's club's players was sold on auction. The amount earned shall be paid to the bank account of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity.
Tomasz Kielbowicz's shirt and an official Legia Warszawa football were put up for auction by the football club's main sponsor, Action S.A., which is the owner of the ActiveJet brand. An interesting fact is that the ball was sold at 3,000 zloty, which was a higher final price than that of the shirt, which went for 1,802 zloty.
We are glad that both items found considerable interest. This allowed us to have some contribution to the success of this year's Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, says Anna Bielinska, Action S.A.'s Chief Communications Officer. - We are thankful to all bidders and to Legia fans, who helped us to promote that auction, she adds.
Legia Warszawa players are currently away at a training camp in Ayia Napa, Cyprus. On 11 February they shall compete for the Polish SuperCup (Superpuchar Polski) with Wisla Kraków.
